To manage access to your cap table, first go to Company > Manage Users in the left menu.
On this screen you’ll notice that we’ve already added placeholder users for shareholders on your cap table. Each user (whether actual or a placeholder) indicates a status on the right hand side. If you added emails to shareholders, they will appear here.
Note: A user and shareholder are two different types on the cap table. A user is someone with access to the cap table, while a shareholder is someone who holds shares in your company. A shareholder may have a corresponding user, but a user may not have a corresponding shareholder (e.g. your accountant or legal team who has access but no holdings).
On this screen you can invite or re-invite users to your cap table. If no email is listed, you’ll first want to add one. You can do that by hovering over the user, clicking the menu, then Add Email. Note: If you add an email from this screen, an invite will automatically be sent.
If you’ve already sent an invite and would like to send it again, select the menu for that pending user, then click on Re-Invite.
Note: You can only re-invite pending users. If they are Active, they have already accepted the invite and have logged in.
If you need to change the permission level of an active user, click the menu, then Change Permissions. Permissions can only be changed on active users. If they have yet to be invited or are pending, you’ll need to remove their user (or placeholder) and go to Actions > Add User.
Restricted users are shareholders that can only see their own holdings. If you’d like to invite someone with that access, they must already have that same email associated with their shareholder profile. Read more on our access levels here.
If you’d like to bulk invite users, select the checkbox next to each, then go to Actions > Invite Selected.
